@thegenzlawyers: Under Ugandan contract law, when you voluntarily sign a legally binding agreement, you are generally presumed to have accepted its terms, whether you took the time to read them or not! ✍️ Here’s what you need to understand: 📌 Your signature matters! It can serve as evidence that you agreed to be bound by the terms of a contract. 📌 Not reading is not automatically a defence! You cannot ordinarily escape contractual obligations simply because you didn’t bother to understand what you signed. 📌 But there are exceptions! Fraud, misrepresentation, duress, undue influence or certain fundamental mistakes may provide grounds for challenging an agreement, depending on the circumstances. 📌 Before signing anything, read every clause, understand your obligations, ask questions and seek legal advice where necessary. Remember, a few minutes spent reading an agreement could save you years of litigation! ⚖️ Have you ever signed a document without reading it? Be honest! 👀😂 #GenZLawyers #UgandaLaw #KnowYourRights #LegalTips #ContractLaw @Racheal @Aniela Kids Store @@Lauryn Socials |Lawyer @littlecorneroflaw
