I thought that’s sentences were only suspended at the discretion of the sentencing judge? Is it guaranteed to be suspended if it’s under 3 years? X

Only plead guilty if you are guilty, you’re not in court to negotiate whether your guilty or not. Remember many jobs nowadays require you to have a DBS why a conviction on a DBS if you’ve done nothing wrong on the basis of a lower sentence

Is the maximum just the upper range from the sentencing guidelines or is it more specific to your case?

Yes but when the judge does sentence them and say 40% to be served then a few weeks into the sentence get a call to say it’s now only 33% rest is on licence which means he will be inside less than a year took it longer to get it to trial then he pleads guilty 3 weeks before the trial and they want domestic violence and abuse to be reported he only got 33 months and that included two breaches of a restraining order 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

isn't that what you pay your solicitor for and you can also find this out from sentencing guidelines for the alleged offence and your past conduct?

That's why a pre sentence report is done so your defence solicitor would have an idea on how the sentencing is going to look like
