![🚨 Eden Hazard on Estevao’s situation at Chelsea: “I’ve been watching what’s happening with Estevao, and I have to say, I don’t really understand it. I remember watching him when he first started getting opportunities at Chelsea. There was something about the way he played. He wasn’t waiting for defenders to make mistakes. He was trying to make them uncomfortable. You could see it in their body language. The defender would start backing away, looking over his shoulder to see if somebody was coming to help him. That’s when you know you’ve got a special winger. I remember when I first arrived at Chelsea, there were games where I’d lose the ball three or four times trying to beat somebody. Sometimes the manager would tell me afterwards, ‘Eden, you don’t have to dribble every time.’ And I’d say, ‘But if I stop trying, how am I supposed to get past him?’ We’d laugh about it, but I was serious. For a player like that, confidence is everything. I watched Estevao under the previous managers, and he reminded me of that feeling. The boy wanted the ball. Even after losing it, he’d come back asking for it again. That’s not something you can teach easily. Now I watch Chelsea looking for a goal, looking for somebody to create something, and I’m waiting for him to come on. 10 minutes pass. Nothing. Another 10 minutes. Still nothing. And I’m thinking, is he injured? Has something happened in training? Because if he’s fit and available, I struggle to understand what we’re waiting for. Maybe the manager sees something we don’t. That’s possible. I wasn’t there during the week. But there’s something I always believed about young attacking players. You can teach them where to stand. You can teach them when to pass. You can even teach them when not to dribble. What you must be careful about is making them afraid to do the very thing that made everybody notice them. Imagine being Estevao on that bench. You’re watching Chelsea struggle to create chances, and you’re thinking, ‘I can help. Just give me 20 minutes.’ Then you watch the clock reach 90. I don’t know what that does to a young player’s confidence. I’m not saying he should start every match. Nobody is entitled to that at Chelsea. But I remember defenders looking genuinely worried when this boy received the ball. I’d hate to see the day when Estevao becomes the one who’s worried every time he receives it.” [ This is the source @ChinoUTD ]#chelsea #chelseafc #liverpool #creatorsearchinsights #capcut](/video/cover/7701861506119503111.webp)
