Literally??? It’s driving me crazy. I’d be crying too if I realized that everyone was upset because of me. If anything I felt like it was selfless of her to tell Lucien it was a misunderstanding. She doesn’t want him, yet she feels obligated to make him feel better because he’s technically her mate and on top of that she doesn’t want him to completely lose his shit and fight with the inner circle!

Cc3 was awful and i have no hope for the acotar series. its so shocking that the woman who wrote throne of glass actually wrote these other books. I just struggle to sympathize with her after that. Saying it was a misunderstanding makes me think she and Lucien had gotten closer. She is allowed to do what she wants with whomever she wants. But it’s distasteful and unfair for her to not reject the bond and give Lucien false hope and then sleep with Azriel WHILE Lucien is visiting. I’m sorry but when your actions hurt other people you need to face them. She’s not a kid who doesn’t know better and I feel like so many people treat her that way. That scene was embarrassing and she was probably mortified but she also knew how much that hurt Lucien. That’s why she tried saying it was a misunderstanding. If she wants to choose Az that was literally the moment to do it. Being shy and sensitive doesn’t mean she can do whatever she wants without criticism. Especially when her actions impact literally everyone else.

I’m not surprised that Elain acted that way. 1st off when Feyre told her about Fae menstrual cycle she was blushing during that conversation. 2nd when Amren was talking about how she should’ve chose a male form to go to the bathroom Elain was blushing during that scene. 3rd when she was having her conversation with Nesta, she couldn’t even bring herself to say that Nesta was sleeping with random people. 4th the only person we know for sure that she had a sexual relationship with was with Grayson. 5th people need to put themselves in Elain’s position. If you’re hooking up with a guy who you liked, and you guys aren’t trying to do the McNasty, two consenting adults, and your sister‘s friend who has a crush on you comes barging into your room along with the rest of your family, a girl who’s embarrassed to have a personal private conversations and blushes during those conversations is not going to respond the same way as everybody else. Did we all forget that the similar situation happened with Rhys, Tamlin, and Feyre in ACOMAF. Rhys came unannounced to fulfill the part of the bargain. And Feyre was naked wrapped around with a sheet and Tamlin was telling Rhys to get out. Like Feyre and Elain are not the same character so they handle it differently.
