@theanvarmoideen: Muharraq: Salman bin Isa bin Hindi Al Mannai, Governor of Muharraq, has reaffirmed the loyalty of the governorate’s residents to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, following the opening of the fifth session of the sixth legislative term of the Shura Council and Council of Representatives under His Majesty’s patronage. The Governor welcomed the royal directive designating a “Day of Pledge and Loyalty”, describing it as an opportunity for the people of Muharraq to renew their allegiance to the Kingdom’s leadership and uphold the governorate’s longstanding legacy of patriotism. He also welcomed the designation of the coming year as the “Year of Isa bin Salman”, honouring the late His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa for his lifelong service to Bahrain and his enduring contributions to the nation’s development. The Governor highlighted His Majesty’s vision for the next phase of national development, including modernising economic legislation, strengthening investment and competitiveness, expanding the knowledge-based economy, promoting energy sustainability and environmental protection, and enhancing food and water security. He added that Bahrain’s future economic vision would complement major national projects, particularly Muharraq’s comprehensive development, the preservation of its historical and architectural identity, the revitalisation of historic neighbourhoods, and the restoration of Isa Al Kabeer Palace. The Governor also praised His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his continued efforts to translate royal directives into practical initiatives and development projects aimed at improving public services and advancing national progress.
