You will never regret not showing her. Unfortunately, many people may regret showing their children.

I stopped showing my daughter years ago and then eventually myself, but it was mainly because of some stalker exes of mine. It’s a tough decision and I think the occasional picture or video is ok, but I do lean more towards not showing her

I saw you at Hyde Park earlier and wanted to say hi, but as a FTM too I understand the guard we have and the boundaries we need to set. I also saw that guy with the camera in the pumpkin patch and I thought it was odd but thought maybe he was with a family?

I totally think you should do whatever feels comfortable for you. I guess for me I’m always so confused when people talk about predators being their worry why would they still show their kids body? As a teacher if a parent says their child can’t be photographed I just don’t take pics of them at all instead of just covering their face. It feels weird to me to still show their body but I’m hiding their face. Idk I think I’m overthinking it.

You can ask them not to photograph your child. They typically will be respectful to your ask.

As a photographer myself, I always try to ask parents if it’s okay to take their children’s photos bc I’m aware a lot of people don’t want their kids online. I promise he’s gotten told no in taking photos plenty of times! Don’t be afraid to say no!

It’s hard. I don’t show my kids anymore but my son’s school posts pictures of their activities and he has been in the photos. Unfortunately it’s something we cannot control 100% percent but I know I do my best to protect them

Nah you needed to tell that man to stop recording and leave you alone. As a mother of 4, you HAVE to speak up! It’s not rude, it’s safe

I’m a mom to a 15 month old..it’s not worth it! Too many creeps on the Internet..I don’t want him having a digital footprint that I have no control over. Its too bad it has to be this way :(

We dont show our girls! In public places we just tell whoever like “oh im sorry we dont show her face on the internet”. Id rather be annoying and weird than regret! Especially the popsicle thing!!!

I don’t post my daughter on social media bc there’s so many creepy people out there, I did however post a newborn picture of her when she was born bc like you said they change so much!! I only post pictures of her with her face on my close friends list but it’s so hard!! You want to share all the cute moments but also keep them safe 😭😭

Unfortunately in public spaces they can videotape & photograph. Crazy right. But for yourself, you do what it’s comfortable for you and Charlie right now. Just go with the flow and your gut. It’s find if day by day your are trying to figure it out.

I would have probably redirected my child away from the camera man in a way to non-confrontationally stop him from recording.

You as her mother will decide what is best for your family. Don’t let anyone decide for you. You are already doing a great job. 💜

I don’t post my daughter’s face online and it can be uncomfortable to address people in situations like that (I struggle with anxiety!) but at the end of the day my daughter is always number 1 and so I would’ve asked him to stop. Not saying you didn’t do the right thing, but, for future times! It’s 2026, AI, creeps, etc. we need to be thinking about our children’s safety and honestly their consent. She doesn’t know how the internet works! She shouldn’t be plastered all over it until she can decide on her own. But also, that event should’ve asked or made it known first, so that part is all on them.

I show her A LOT less. I don’t do content creation but I only really share my daughter on Facebook and insta with my family and friends, but you won’t regret it. She’s beautiful and I love seeing her, but whatever you feel is best for you and her 🫶 I know how sweet you are in real life, but don’t let the internet control you 💕

It’s really as easy as pulling the photographer aside and just asking Charlie or yourself aren’t photographed. I’ve never had someone truly have a reaction when I ask.

Yeah. Tell them to stop. Always protect the kids. If it feels off, it is. Not okay and disrespectful of this man. It should not be allowed without permission.
