When our male cat peed on the bed, we mentioned it to the vet when we saw her for vaccination s the next week. She did a test, he had a urinary tract infection. He may be disappearing because he doesn’t feel well. I’m no expert just a thought.

Maybe check for a UTI. They sometimes pee out of place and hide when they have one.Glad he is back

One of my mom’s did this for 4 or 5 days last week right before mom went in for a knee replacement. Deadass she was at the door like nothing happened the evening before surgery. I wish she wouldn’t let them outside.

could be cystitis or urinary tract infection which can become incredibly painful and deadly in male cats if they get completely blocked and can't pass urine their kidneys can shut down in like 24hrs
