I am a Die Hard ND Irish fan and love the Gold Helmets but I think the best helmet of all time in College Football is Penn State. Simple, clean and a classic look.

Here's my take: 1. SMU has a way better helmet, but tradition makes anyone pick Alabama's lame helmet over SMU's. 2. Notre Dame is a far better helmet and also has tradition to back it up. 3. The fighting Irish over Oklahoma. I agree the clean gold is just superior. 4. The Longhorns helmet is one of the coolest and it also holds a lot of tradition. Notre Dame, that clean gold is iconic but so is that Longhorn helmet. Thats a tossup for me. 5. For me the buckeyes hold a clean sweep here, the tradition the stickers added based on plays. It means more but it's close. 6. LSU does not hold a candle to Ohio State helmet. It's kind of just a generic brand with a tiger in it, although I do like the yellow. 7. LSU vs Gators. This one could've gone either way for me, but I like the tiger more. If the gators actually had a gator on their helmet, I might switch sides. 8. FSU is far superior to the gators helmet. That gold with the spear is much more iconic than orange with script writing on it. 9. Gators vs TTUN, at least the gators aren't a bunch of cheating ass cheaters!
