There are a few reasons (Google it if you like) one is its a place holder when the database can't figure out what it is. Seems to me it should lock up and have a worker figure it out, not put fictitious name and price on the receipt. But that's just me.

I picked up two items on the shelf and checked the prices. When I went to self check out the price was higher. I questioned it and they would not fix the price. Let’s the items and left and haven’t been back since and we won’t.

yeah that's a load of BS. Walmart is a scummy scam company underweight on everything and overcharging on tons of stuff but if they was going to add a fee it only be a dollar or two to where it would slip by you not 20 bucks
