I read the whole book yesterday. The ghost writer is amazing. TLC, the nannies, the home-school teacher, and Kate all need to be investigated and all of the siblings need to be questioned about what they saw.

I had to stop watching it back in the day because her personality was so abrasive & cold. I tried to empathize with her thinking it was depression or anxiety, but I felt rung out after watching it. How all of those children endured it is beyond me.

Guys: LISTEN. Go back and watch Jon and Kate plus 8 from 2007, first episode. You will see Jon Gosselin changing in front of our eyes season after season. Even back then, it was clear she was not only controlling but also had severe OCD. I had the feeling the dad could not act like a dad with his kids. He has to conform to what Kate wanted, period. She was so obsessed with image. We saw the light and joy leave his eyes, We saw their marriage crumble in front of our eyes. It obviously was a relief for him when they separated. Because he was living in HER world under HER reign. And then she became even more obsessive with everything. Including her image. And it was very much disturbing. I stopped watching. I believe Collin 100%. And for those stating « but there was a crew!!! » we know TLC was aware of the abuse amongst the Duggar’s kids... Jon and Kate plus 8 was no different. They wanted shows and they didn’t protect the kids.

Kids build it up in their heads worse than it is. My daughter thinks I had 2 different sized wooden spoons, one for her and one for him. I think I used the spoon on the kids 1x but still she says this stuff.

I’m a retired psych nurse. I never watched this show or the Duggars (reality tv in general) cause I knew the dysfunctional cues I would pick up. That I couldn’t do anything about it would bother me to no end.
