My mom gave me a budget and the venue, food, and drink itself has taken up more than 50% 💀 this is why I’m doing sola wood flowers. I don’t care about live flowers much and then at least I can keep my flowers forever in a vase on a table at home or something

See that’s crazy. I got my flowers from a local vendor and I told them I wanted dahlias in all my arrangements and they said “that’s expensive”, told them my budget and they said nvm do what you want. I was still 1.2k UNDER

We finally just said screw it, and booked a venue in Germany this month for 2028. Gorgeous villa, €3600 for a 3 night stay and full booking of the grounds, garden, and courtyards. On site and day of coordinator provided, quoted €800 for multiple large floral arrangements as well as bouquets/adornments, €500 for gourmet catering. A little under €11K for 35 people. America has commercialized the living crap out of weddings, it is SO refreshing approaching it from the European perspective now.

I got flowers from a local vendor who is a non profit and benefits a local charity and I’m getting all the basics for under $3k including delivery. Your money is going to a good cause and it’s affordable, yall should check out if you have any similar in your area, this is out of Hartford. I’m getting 9 bouquets, mix of center pieces and bus vase trios for 15 tables and 2 large floral pieces for the ceremony , and boutonnières and corsages. All hydrangeas, roses stock etc

Unfortunately, yeah. When we picked our venue, we picked a spot that had natural flowers & greenery so we wouldn’t have to break the bank on florals & even then, our first quote was INSANELY high

I was just saying the same thing about photography. I feel like in 2024-2025 the average i feel was $3000-$4500 and now i feel it’s going to jump to $6000-$7500

its crazy knowing our wedding is just unattainable in most places. 12k for the venue (DJ, food, bar, photography, 100 guests, and a golf course lake view upgrade for the ceremony, ballroom for reception). after my dress, faux florals, decor, etc were trying to stay under 20k. WDYM 100k????

19 people and it still cost $35,000 (not including any of the welcome party/extra costs for it being a destination wedding - total cost was closer to $70,000).

So true. Florals are can change an entire vision, but they are costly. I recently added a pricing calculator to my site so couples can more accurately budget for their florals.
