🥩 Korean-Style BBQ Beef Bowls Ingredients - 1½ lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced - ¼ cup soy sauce - 2 tbsp brown sugar - 1 tbsp sesame oil - 3 cloves garlic, minced - 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated - 1 tbsp rice vinegar - 3 cups cooked white rice - 1 cup shredded carrots - 1 cup sliced cucumber - 3 green onions, sliced - 1 tbsp sesame seeds Method - In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and rice vinegar until well combined. - Add the thinly sliced beef and toss until evenly coated. Let it marinate for 20–30 minutes. - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat until very hot. - Add the marinated beef in a single layer, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. - Cook for 2–3 minutes per side, until the beef is deeply browned, caramelized around the edges, and cooked through. - Pour in a small amount of the remaining marinade and cook for another 1–2 minutes, allowing it to reduce into a glossy glaze around the beef. - Divide the warm white rice between serving bowls. - Arrange the Korean-style BBQ beef generously over the rice. - Add shredded carrots and sliced cucumber in separate sections around the beef. - Finish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds. - Serve immediately while the beef is hot, juicy, and glossy.
