I’ve always been curious is to why most houses in the UK don’t have laundry rooms and the washer etc is in the kitchen? Is it because of space? We have a laundry in 99% of the places in NZ so I just wondered

Oh Saffs I love this, it looks fabulous! I’ve replaced bits and bobs in my kitchen until I can afford the real dream! It’s made such a difference, you can actually improve a sours ear with a little imagination 🥰xxx

That random hole to outside at onetime was a vent for the dryer. Dryers need to be vented to the outside to prevent humidity build up and mold.

when re-doing the house we moved into last year, we fully renovated our baby's room. found a pair of boxers in the vent, along with scrunched up newspaper and sweet wrappers.
