Sherry is 100% in the background trying not to laugh. Claire might not be her mother but she her mommy. I also assume all raccoon city survivors are just noted to be odd. Just because it probably took awhile for the world to catch up for how to help people work through something like that so they just found coping mechanisms (mostly hunting Umbrella like the SAS did the natsees after WW2) and that’s why post raccoon city, the survivors of other incidents kinda just go on with their lives to some extent

It’s the thing to me that Claire genuinely doesn’t express any kind of this romantic attraction towards him tbh yeah they care about each other they share trauma bond but that’s it I love sherry x claire bond sm tho I think their part of the re2 story is much better and more interesting to me even tho I love leon and ada part but yeah they don’t really like each other that way
