@gamesdotgg: Sony reportedly shut down a pirate PS5 store, and it came back within hours. Overdrive was a homebrew app for jailbroken PS5 consoles that copied the PlayStation Store layout and handed out pirated copies of more than 1,600 PS4 and PS5 games. This week its GitHub page went offline after a reported cease-and-desist from Sony, and copies were back online within hours, according to GameRiv and Beebom. Sony has made no public statement, and the takedown is not confirmed. The jailbreak it relies on only works on older firmware: Sony's 14.00 and 14.10 updates block it. Whack-a-mole, PlayStation edition. Footage: @IntCyberDigest on X. #ps5 #playstation #sony #jailbreak #gamingnews
