Yes! I grew up in Northwest Georgia to parents who were both mostly conservative, but taught me good values. My mom has passed, but hated Trump and all he stood for, and I think my dad has voted blue for at least the presidential elections, if not the midterms as well.

My Republican Christian parents raised three liberal children, two of which are atheists 😂 I say it’s because they raised us right!!!! To treat others the way we’d like to be treated.

Dang. We had very similar childhoods. South GA and Southern Baptist. My late Dad said I could have an Obama sign next to his McCain sign. He would’ve thought Trump was tacky as hell.

SAME! My parents taught me to be respectful and not hate people; to be kind! And I don’t know how they were somehow coerced into being republicans who would make racist comments, when I was an adult.

My parents are fully MAGA and I grew up in Alabama, but I was raised to be thoughtful and caring and polite. Racism wasn’t accepted, homophobia wasn’t accepted. Now they’re in the cult and I feel like I’m mourning living people. They’re shocked they raised 2 liberal atheists. But it’s because of them

Same here! Raised a preachers kid! Out of church and raising my kids to be liberal and learn to love others, be kind, and be a good friend. Equality is key. Love my parents and they are great people. I chose this way of life BECAUSE of how I was raised.

No cause my parents are strongly christian but in a way that they just wanted to be good people and have been brainwashed and I mourn the intelligent amazing people they could have been because in every other conversation they could be saints but the moment the religion is brought of they recite bs like they’ve been possessed.
