I can agree with you, we all need a partner we can have fun with, but i dont really side with this. I can understand where the thought of being able to pull you out of a deep spiral of deep thought can be, but i personally think that being able to talk about deep and emotional things is something I look for and find enjoyment in. Some of my previous relationships have been with people that enjoy small talk rather than depth. I always want to talk about values and feelings yet also have fun. Ive always had fun with them but when it comes to being able to have a difficult or in-depth conversation it was almost impossible. At the end of the day it's my personal experience

nahh, you yourself need to learn when to have hehe moment. it's a bad thing if you guys are not on the similar level in the "depthness", it's just gonna leave you feel unseen. And if you're someone who are overthinker, feeling unseen is the last thing you need.

but what about if the other person doesn't really want to talk about deep or serious stuffs at all? like deep talks are fine even for just a while but to never do that? is that still okay?
