A hugely controversial figure in American politics, Loomer is a far-right influencer with almost 2 million followers on X and a nightly show on Rumble. Described by The New York Times as “Trump’s blunt instrument”, by The Atlantic as an “extremist troll” and by herself as a “proud Islamophobe”, she has a history of racist remarks. Despite not having an official role in the administration, Loomer is entrusted by Trump with what appears to be an important task: purging the US government of his critics. “You don’t want to be Loomered. If you’re Loomered, you’re in deep trouble,” Trump has said.
