@angelcancu2: What God forgives, He does not keep. Some of us replay an old failure for years, carrying guilt God has already put down. Father, You do not ask us to punish ourselves into being worthy. You invite us to bring our shame into the light and leave it there. Psalm 103:12. “As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” East and west never meet; forgiven guilt is that far from us. Write down one guilt you keep replaying on a small slip of paper. Place it in a bowl of water and watch the words soften and blur. Say aloud, “Lord, You have removed this as far as the east is from the west.” Breathe slowly and leave the paper where it is: let it be gone.
