Imagine Peter saying goodbye to Mary Jane and his daughter because he knows he won’t come back. When he arrives, he sees the X-Men already waiting. They wonder why only a single man is there, so they ask him. Peter says, “I’m not alone.” Then a large TV turns on. JJJ is on it and says, “You may be a thief, but you saved lives too. Give ’em hell, Spidey.” Thousands of people cheer for him. The X-Men are shocked, but they still fight him. He keeps up with them, but then Wolverine stabs him through the heart. Everyone goes still, and a little boy screams, “Get up, Spidey!” Then we see a flashback where Peter is still young. It shows all his struggles, failures, and successes, and then it shows Aunt May’s death. The scene cuts, and we see Uncle Ben. He talks to him: “Peter… my dear boy, I’m so proud of you, and your aunt is too. I believe in you, and I believe that you’re going to save everyone, like you always do. Get up and show them what you’re made of, because… with great power…” Then he stops, and all his loved ones who died are standing behind him. They say, “…comes great responsibility.” Then Harry hugs him and says, “You’re my brother and a hero.” Peter wakes up again. He has the symbiote on, but the symbiote has decided to help him one last time, and while doing so, it sacrifices itself. Everyone is shocked that he stood up. The X-Men are shocked too. Jean Grey goes into his mind and sees his sad past, but she still fights, although she holds back. They beat him up, and Peter takes his last stand. The symbiote reveals Peter’s face because it knows he will not survive. It cuts to JJJ, who is speechless, but then he says, “I’m sorry, kid… I’m sorry for everything I’ve done. Please, save us one last time.” Peter gets an energy boost. The X-Men retreat, but Peter dies. He is still standing. People rush over, but he is dead. In his honor, they replace the Statue of Liberty with a statue of Peter.
