agree with you, was disappointed in jenna honestly. she didn’t do him justice. look at dani and pasha drilling technique in their partners who have no dance experience. they are shining and my favs. and val shouldn’t have responded that way.

look at amber's samba in comparison, she had moment where she wasn't doing samba, but it didn't take anything away from or distract from the actual samba! it was still recognizably a samba! it had that "superbowl halftime show" moment while staying true to the style of dance. harry's was basically a freestyle, it was just trying to be a "superbowl halftime show" prefomance, with some samba elements, honestly there was barely any samba. not enough to be like "that is a samba." i wouldn't have been able to tell you what style of dance he was doing if i hadn't known what he was supposed to be doing. i wanted to see harry do a samba, and that didn't happen.

I have so many opinions. Harry had almost 0 content (I counted 4 samba steps) and also didn’t have the correct action and still got 8’s. Connor had SO MUCH samba content and tried his best and got 6’s. 😔

The whole no lift rule in this specific situation is just so pointless. It’s like trying to judge Disney on ice based on Olympic level figure skating rules. Dwts is a reality tv show at the end of the day. If the judges care that much about the rules, then tell the producers to get rid of troupe.

I’ve never been more annoyed with these newer fans. They are so soft. I’m sorry I had to say it. I 100% knew while watching Harry’s dance either Derek or Carrie Ann was going to comment on it not really being a samba. I feel like SOME not all of the Carrie Ann hate is forced. She’s the only one that’s lowkey giving real feedback. Bruno does too. Is she inconsistent with her scoring? Yes, they all are in some way which is annoying as well.

I feel like it doesn’t require as much vulnerability for them to rely on what Harry is already good at, and I’m so ready to see him open up and just go full after the style of the week, no falling back on hip hop. Even if there are a few mistakes, I want to see him trying and learning! Like I’m not at all surprised he was doing heel leads in a samba because the samba moves were so interspersed with hip hop it was probably hard to switch back and forth the whole time.

I went back and watched it, Harry and Jenna had 64 counts of samba content in total, if I’m being generous. It was basically an even split between samba and hip hop content, which would be fine for a freestyle, but it’s not ok for them to be scored the same as Amber who had 32 counts at most of non-samba content

I’m in a fantasy league and i had hardy in my top 3 because i KNEW he’d eat up a samba. so imagine my disappointment when he pulled up NOT doing a samba. mad as hell.

I feel this SO MUCH. I feel like Jenna is doing him such a disservice by not TEACHING him. Harry is such a good dancer and I know he'd be able to pick it up but she has to TEACH and not just relay on his hip hop background. Love her so much, but she needs to teach him. Period. Full stop.

I don’t disagree at all with Harry’s critiques what gets me with the scoring is moments like Amber last night where they had no real feedback and then gives her an 8 with all of her samba content and Harry gets an 8 with little to no content I’m confused

I personally don’t think we need a theme night every week. They are told to do a samba dance like it’s a Super Bowl halftime show with a song by usher. Like let them have a good samba song and expect a good choreographed samba dance. Tell them to bring a halftime show this is what kind of dance you get

Even if we ignore the lift of Harry by the troupe at around the 1:11 mark both of Jenna’s feet are lifted off the ground when she is falling back in Harry’s arms. Carrie Ann never said which lift she was referring to so highly possible she meant that one.

What’s frustrating to me is not that she gives feedback because she’s usually correct… it’s that she’s so inconsistent and her scoring doesn’t align and it’s so unbelievably frustrating. If she wants to be like Len that’s fine but he was at least consistent as in always brutally honest no matter the celebrity 🤷🏻♀️

AGREED 100%!! harry’s dance last night literally had like 0 samba content! jenna’s choreography this season has lowkey been disappointing me because every one of their dance ends up looking like a hip hop dance. i want to like harry so bad because i know he can be so good, but all of his dances so far have been giving me the ick lol
