@popficto.us: WHALEFALL (2026) turns the inside of a sperm whale into a ticking clock. Austin Abrams stars as Jay Gardiner, a diver who goes into the ocean looking for closure after his father’s death and instead finds himself swallowed alive, trapped in complete darkness with limited oxygen and almost no idea how to escape. . What makes the situation even more intense is that Jay has no rescue team coming for him. Every decision has to be made from inside the whale, using whatever he can remember about diving, survival, and the lessons his father once taught him. Josh Brolin plays Mitt, whose influence stays with Jay throughout the ordeal even though their relationship was complicated long before the dive began. . Directed by Brian Duffield and adapted from Daniel Kraus’ novel, WHALEFALL combines survival thriller tension with a deeply personal story about grief and unfinished relationships. The danger is massive, but the film keeps the focus on one person trying to stay calm long enough to find a way back to the surface. . WHALEFALL — Tickets on sale NOW. In theaters October 16. . #whalefall #austinabrams #joshbrolinedit #survivalthriller #movies
