@popficto.us: WHALEFALL (2026) takes an impossible survival premise and makes it painfully personal. Austin Abrams plays Jay Gardiner, who dives into the Pacific searching for the remains of his late father, only to be swallowed alive by a sperm whale and trapped inside with his oxygen running out. . Josh Brolin stars as Mitt, Jay’s father, whose presence continues through memories of their difficult relationship. Those memories become unexpectedly useful as Jay tries to understand his surroundings, conserve air, and work out whether there is any possible route back to the ocean outside. . Directed by Brian Duffield and adapted from Daniel Kraus’ novel, WHALEFALL turns grief into a literal fight for survival. Jay enters the water hoping to finally put the past to rest, but inside the whale he is forced to confront everything he never resolved with his father while fighting for the chance to make it home alive. . WHALEFALL — Tickets on sale NOW. In theaters October 16. . #whalefall #austinabrams #joshbrolin #survivalthriller #movies
