My mom told me back in the day (the late 80’s) her and my dad went to Peter Luger for dinner and when they walked in the restaurant it went QUIET and everyone was staring at them! They slowly backed out and left! WE were not welcomed there!

I went there 3 years ago with my date and they refused to serve me a Porterhouse because it's "meant for two", so I settled for a ribeye and decided I'd never go again and I never will. Had a great time at Gallagher's last year tho and there were no issues getting my porterhouse.
