When I left I put in an itty bitty formula issue that would trigger if my stupid idiot ex boss did the ONE THING I told him not to do about 1800 times. It notified me the other day and I immediately blocked his phone number

The owner of the company I work for spent 20 years building a series of interconnected excel files and access databases where all of the queries were built in the gui query editor. There are no named fields or relationships. And if one file gets renamed or relocated the whole thing shits down. There are over 2,000 files involved...

Our Wendell got fired and I was put in his position before he trained me on anything. My whole job is trying to become the Wendell Interpreter, Wendell^2

my entire company runs on several excel spreadsheets that are linked in several word documents that are found in one specific hyperlink on share point. i’ve seen spreadsheets dated back to the early 90s. they are still somehow the most effective tool to get the numbers we need. i don’t understand the sorcery

Oh no feelin existential dread reading these comments. Also I use dark yellow and light yellow in my spreadsheets and my coworker sometimes tries to use light yellow but she doesn’t use the RIGHT light yellow and I can always tell.
