My dad was a pilot and our family always split up on different flights. My mom usually took 2 of us kids and my dad took the third kid. He said if the plane crashed, at least us kids would have 1 surviving parent. We never took a family vacation on the same flight. I knew one other pilot’s family that did the same thing. My parents started flying together when we were adults. 🥰
