I have built steps many times but never knew how to get the numbers i just always made tread 10 and risers 7 I usually had to make the bottom or top riser more or less appreciate this video bro

Ummm. No. Height in inches, divided by a whole number of steps untill your rise come out between 7” & 8” ( per ud code) . Set your rise, then set your run depending on your tread depth and nosing depth. Subtract thickness of riser material from bottom of stringer. Good to go.
