I actually wrote a report on her in high school…Bow Kum, also known as “sweet flower,” was born in China not a lot is known but sometime in 1888 her father sold her to a man in San Francisco named “Lao He Tong” for $3,000. Lao He Tong was a high-ranking member of the “Four Brothers” and had connections to another group called “Hip Sings.” However, he couldn’t prove that she was his legal wife, which got him arrested. She escaped with another man named “Chin Lin” to New York. But after Lao He Tong was released, he tracked her down to New York and demanded his money back. They refused, and she was stabbed to death in her apartment. Chin Lin had connections to New York gang called “On leong,” and this incident sparked the second Tong War

grew up in cypress hills and the cemetery was our hangout, the highest point in Brooklyn. can see the rockaways, Manhattan, George Washington used it to watch British ships in the area.

I was driving to Brooklyn from Long Island the other day and passed by this gigantic gravy like oh my goodness like how old are all the bodies in here and I can only imagine how vast it is because the stretch of highway that goes through. It is long.
