@atmelvinvillanueva__art7: Pulling this out of the vault right before I Guess Love Exists for Me officially drops! This was originally supposed to be Track 2 on the EP—acting as a direct sequel to "Save One Pixel." The story behind this: when we first started writing the project, my collaborator originally pitched the idea of making an EP simply about someone actually being in a good, happy relationship. She sent this demo over with her vocals, and I even went all the way through re-recording it with my own vocals (which is why it sounds pretty much studio-ready). Right after that, I pitched a twist: what if the guy gets into a really good relationship and things go great at first, but it slowly goes downhill because he spirals into self-doubt? Once we locked in that storyline, this song got scrapped—partly because the lyrics were way too cheesy for me (she wrote the lyrics on this one, not me 💀), and mostly because we wrote the actual tracks that make up the final EP lore: • "Save One Pixel" kicks off the story when he unexpectedly finds love. • "Saving Room Beside Me" is about opening up, showing vulnerability, and actually letting someone into your space. • "Burn the Halo" brings in the heavy guitars and is about confronting past baggage and burning away old insecurities. • "Technical Error" is the finale (with rock, strings, and a full choir) where the internal friction and self-doubt take over—leading to an emotional shutdown where he convinces himself he's just a "technical error" who isn't cut out for relationships at all.
