@staticdisclosure: New Jersey, late 2024: what federal officials actually put in writing. On Dec. 12, the FBI and DHS said they had “no evidence at this time” of a national security or public safety threat, and that no visual sightings had been corroborated with electronic detection. On Dec. 16, DHS, FBI, FAA and DoD said 5,000+ tips produced about 100 leads, mostly lawful drones, planes, helicopters and stars: “We have not identified anything anomalous.” In Jan. 2025, the White House said the drones were authorized by the FAA for research and other reasons.
