I feel for the parents I do, however parenting has to change with the times. Why didn’t they have conversations with their daughter and let her know about resources? Therapy? AI is overwhelming - but in addition to regulations - there should be parenting and teaching about what the dangers are

I agree that this is terrible. I just don’t know if the chatbot telling her to call a hotline was going to help. I get that’s not the main point of this video, but it’s like we’re diverting from what would’ve been a helpful convo on what mental illness looks like in teens/pre-teens and the factors contributing to it in the age of tech

Is it the fault of the app? To some degree. But also the cost of healthcare and mental health help is huge. When I went thru my own crisis I got 8 sessions for $150 copay. Who can afford that?
