@duelnats: Is U.S. soccer culture underrated? 🤔🇺🇸 Former LAFC striker Olivier Giroud recently took his talents back to Europe, stating he missed the footballing culture that he felt was nonexistent in the United States. 😬 @herculez gomez believes he’s wrong to think the US isn’t a footballing nation when the World Cup and Club World Cup were such massive successes, as well as other times when fans would fill up 90,000+ capacity stadiums to watch European and Liga MX teams midweek. #concacaf #ussoccer #majorleaguesoccer #MLS #usasoccer

I think you have seen the term "football" country in a few ways...are we a football country like Brazil, England or Spain? not even close, not our biggest sport in terms of athletics, money, time or anything. are we a "football country" in terms of we have the sport and a decent crowd and fan base...sure yes. but don't let the WC make you think we are the reason for the hype, we had huge amounts of people come from other countries and frankly they made the world cup special more than Americans. plus that happens at every WC not just the US.
Our MLS games half of the. don't sell out or more and tons of empty seats. That doesn't happen in "football counties". Is soccer trending up? yes but still the 4th biggest sport for us b
