My parents would have to give me bleach baths due to yeast infections from being on antibiotics so much when I was younger. I got pneumonia a lot due to how hard it was to control my asthma, any kind of cold or even a sinus infection had me in the hospital for a week or 2 with pneumonia. I’d always end up with a yeast infection. Hence the bleach baths. Until a different pediatrician that saw me on call one day told my mom to sit me in buttermilk and if I would drink it, even better and she said it had me cleared up faster than any medication or bleach baths! I still to this day LOVE me some buttermilk and I’m 42. And I don’t get yeast infections anymore either.

I’m not worried about an infection, but I would like to calm my dyshidrotic, eczema itch, at least enough so I don’t want to literally peel the skin off with a potato peeler… currently I’m using a wire cat brush. 😁

do yall not know that your skin is the biggest organ in/on/part of your body... yes, organ, the same as your stomach. so yall wouldn't drink bleach right? well bathin in it is still getting bleach absorbed into your body

I was told to take a bleach bath when I went to the hospital with a boil that had to be lanced and man that was the worse. But the staff said do a bleach bath from time to time especially during the summer

I've never seen a dermatologist for my HS yet thank you for saying I could do a bleach bath because having 30 leaking boils on me currently isn't fun and it's very painful and gross

Bleach baths are my BFF as an HS girl that works 12 hour shifts as an ICU nurse. The friction+sweat+hospital germs give me wicked flare ups but bleach baths and CHG help so much
