@sharrellsworld: STOCKTON CITY COUNCIL VOTES TO OUST JASON LEE AS VICE MAYOR AFTER REJECTING HIS RESIGNATION (Credit: KCRA News / City of Stockton) Absolute chaos went down at Stockton City Hall during a wild council meeting involving Hollywood Unlocked founder Jason Lee! Just as Mayor Christina Fugazi moved to remove Lee as Vice Mayor, Lee took the mic to announce he was resigning first, saying: "My purpose was not given to me by this council, and it cannot be taken away by a vote of this council! The title doesn't drive leadership!" But instead of letting him simply step down, the council voted 4 to 3 NOT to accept his resignation, and then voted 4 to 2 to officially strip him of his title as Vice Mayor! Mayor Fugazi said she wanted "the circus to end," while Lee fired back calling the entire council a "continuous circus that will not change!" Lee was also removed from the city's Audit Committee, but he remains an elected councilmember for District 6 through 2028. What do you think about the council rejecting his resignation just to vote him out? #JasonLee #Stockton #StocktonCA #HollywoodUnlocked #CityCouncil
