In this modern age of animation, no studio should be producing this level of mediocre animation especially as a continuation of an already established saga , it would have been excusable if it was it's own stand alone series but now it's going to be compared to it's predecessors which it failed to measure up to the standards already set for it.

Hot take, I don’t think that it’s the quality of the animation that is necessarily what makes A7H so jarring compared to the older series, I think it actually has more to do with how static the camera is and how little they use unique or dramatic camera angles.

while we’re at it i HATE how they don’t have the martial art styles for the bending.. i get the old traditions were destroyed and lost over time BUT in the original avatar show they had to do specific moves to bend properly and even to master bending.. yet in the new show they just bend effortlessly with no style or any complexity AND you would think the survivors in the new show would have to be really good at bending to survive the apocalyptic world yet they’re fighting super basic with little to no actual skill.. such a downgrade from the last airbender and korra and no i will not make up excuses for why they made a basic mid show if the avatar story gets ruined it’s all on them
