Well this is odd to see on my FYP… my business used to cater this tea up until the end of the 2024 season. It looks nothing like it was then: butter, jam and clotted cream, two freshly baked scones, 4 small pastries, and savouries included 3 finger sandwiches on house-made bread as well as a stuffed Gougère. This is the result of skyrocketing costs of goods. I implored them to slightly increase prices and retain selection and quality… they chose a different route.

for the ingredients being listed is likely for people with food allergies or sensitivities. when my mom was still alive, she had sensitivities to gluten, peanuts, and certain add-ons. I do feel like it's something that should be on the website, especially for a prepaid experience.

Love that they include the ingredient list. As someone with dietary requirements, this would help me feel included while also keeping me safe. Wild to hear it’s a turn off for some. Knowing what you’re consuming can be nothing but empowering. I hope most places adopt this.

Look, I’m a weirdo who will pick margarine over butter and can’t be in the room when someone is pan-frying with butter, but an elegant afternoon tea is not the place for margarine! Butter or a house-made cream cheese or whipped cream spread if you aren’t springing for Clotted Cream please and thank you!
