damn thats not even a penitent engine thats a mortifier way worse penitent engines have the host exposed and repentia die fairly quickly. mortifiers enclose the host in a durable coffin to keep them alive as long as possible

To explain: She was previously accused of being a heretic and as a test of her devotion was ordered to retrieve a relic along with three sisters, said sisters died making sure she made it back but to the wider order, she left the sisters to die and is confirmed a heretic even though she returned the relic as they were not there to witness her redemption.
