🚨 SOVEREIGNTY AND KNIGHTSBRIDGE HEADED TO STUD IN 2027! 🐎 Two of Godolphin’s biggest stars are preparing for the next chapter of their careers! Darley America announced today, October 14, that Sovereignty and Knightsbridge will join its stallion roster at Jonabell Farm in Kentucky for the 2027 breeding season. 🏆 SOVEREIGNTY The 2025 Horse of the Year and Champion 3-Year-Old Male captured the Kentucky Derby, Belmont Stakes, and Travers Stakes before returning at four to win the 2026 Whitney Stakes. The son of Into Mischief is the only horse in history to win the Kentucky Derby, Travers, and Whitney. His dominant 10-length Travers victory earned a 115 Beyer Speed Figure. 🏆 KNIGHTSBRIDGE The talented son of Nyquist has enjoyed an outstanding 2026 season, highlighted by victories in the Pacific Classic (G1), Monmouth Cup (G3), and Gulfstream Park Mile (G3). His 10 1/4-length Monmouth Cup victory earned an incredible 122 Beyer Speed Figure, the highest recorded since Flightline! But their racing careers aren’t over just yet! Sovereignty remains pointed toward the October 31 Breeders’ Cup Classic at Keeneland, while Knightsbridge is expected to be pre-entered in both the Classic and Dirt Mile, with the Dirt Mile the likely target if Sovereignty runs in the Classic. Stud fees for both horses will be announced after the Breeders’ Cup. Could we witness one final unforgettable performance before these two stars begin their breeding careers? 💬 What do you think? Would you have liked to see them race another season, or is 2027 the right time for retirement?
