the girl could feel the flesh being squashed in her fingers. she knew once she started that. she kept going, she doesnt care. I dont think it did. . as for the squishies, they are getting ridiculous for sure in design and price but I understand the purpose for it (as a fidget)

I had a bar of soap that had a fish toy prize in it as a kid. I didn’t try to cast a real fish in a soap bar because of it. I put more blame on the parents, but there’s no way the girl didn’t know.

but yeah she is old enough to know better I am still more concerned and more creeped out about the parents, because she got that behavior from somewhere and the fact that her parents are laughing makes me pretty sure it was them, she's old enough to know killing things all wrong but young enough that whole behavior can still be blamed solely on her parents, I'm just hoping that she ends up in an environment that actually teaches her to value animal life because she's clearly not in one right now

I’ve been collecting squishies for 30 years and have never seen a child kill a goldfish like this and yes my kids had the goldfish in a bag when they were little and knew the difference

that's because they're trying to blame shift. instead of blaming the parenting they want to blame the toys. it would be easy to blame the toys however it's not the toys is problem. this is a parenting issue. and that child needs therapy and the way that the parents just laughed at it means that they don't take this child's emotional or physical well-being seriously. when they need to
