The thing is that, this argument only stands from an atheist viewpoint to be honest. Life is everything to an atheist, while for a christian for exemple, it's something short, infinitely short. Then yeah, that pain matters at the moment, but it doesn't on the long term. Tho, I see an interesting question here at the end. Perhaps the point isn't to question God's personality there, but religious people's ones. It's true that sometimes, they don't even try to stay at the door and make excuse by saying it's part of a greater plan. Which is directly something God tells himself is bad, but that some religious people forget.

Free will is an illusion. Even with opportunities multiplied, man chooses self satisfaction and ego even when morality is at stake. Morality is only as good as those watching.

I truly believe that’s suffering is a gift, it’s a controversial take, I know. However, the only way I have learned and grown as a person is through my own failures, through my own suffering. Pride is the absent of humility, and to reach humility you have to constantly battle your own pride. What I think is that human choice is the ultimate action, we are constantly seeking ways to improve ours life, to warn people of natural disasters, the medical profession are looking for ways to heal and cure people and save them, and the suffering of animals is also in our hands now, we are able to take care of them, protect them and nurture them. Well that’s how I see the world, whether someone agrees with me or not as long as we can help those around us, and protect the things we care about.

Honestly this just seems like some pseudo-intellectual stuff, too tired to expound on it too much rn, but suffering is a result of evil, and humans, are capable of evil inherently due to the fall

the distinction between God and human is that God has all the answers and we never will. to every single question. if you knew that stopping the suffering of the one child in the example would somehow bring about the suffering of hundreds more, would you still do it? how could we come to call suffering unnecessary whilst NOT knowing the greater purpose of it? who are we as creatures limited in knowledge to determine if someone’s suffering produced a greater good in the universe or not?

It’s simple, some people just use their religion to excuse or justify their own behavior. They’ll say “it’s God’s plan” instead of helping because in actuality they don’t want to help and would rather leave the person suffering with the small comfort that maybe they’ll gain something good out of their suffering

I think the main point of this whole slide show is that why do we walk away at the face of darkness or weakness and say "it's a plan" or "it has a purpose" when God gave us the free will to intervene with it. We're waiting for a God to return when we are the reflection of him yet we do nothing to actually help them. Jesus had powers but he also had hands, a voice, a heart. something we all have, sometimes choosing to walk away and saying "God will figure it out" isn't always the best case. Because what is faith without action and what is action without fate. THIS IS MY TAKE ON IT ON MY OWN "PERSPECTIVE AND OPINION" I could be wrong af but I think it's beautiful if this is the meaning of it.

One thing i think people need to understand is that suffering is apart of our natural life. If we cannot accept suffering, we cannot accept the reality of life

This reminds me of how Jordan Peterson explains how just a moment of kindness can change someone’s life but so many people choose to ignore others

i do not want free will if it meant causing so much suffering. I don’t believe it’s necessary if we don’t know about it. Regardless, if we are all on a path that god knows the outcome of, is it truly free will if we can’t stray from that path?

All I gotta say is carry your cross with dignity and carry the cross of others out of passion not for the sanctuary. Because faith without works is dead.

Jesus literally died to save us from eternal suffering. He preached love throughout his life to save us from earthly suffering. If you believe God wants any human being to suffer then you do not understand God.
