I have always used, and will always use R and EV in trading. Win rate and $PNL are sub metrics only used to calculate EV. My only difference is I used fixed $Risk until I could move into fixed portfolio %R. Since I used a fixed % of portfolio after the acct size grew, that's what helped compound while still keeping mechanical rules of how much the risk was.
