People have the misconception that they have an unalienable right to medications at the retail pharmacy regardless of the law or safety concerns simply cause a Dr. wrote a prescription for it

It’s WILD to compare being a pharmacist to a bartender. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, pharmacists are the WORST to deal with. They gave a God complex like no other, and they’re not even that important.

so its thanks to the insurance industry, an industry that makes people settle for lesser medicines because its cheaper for them, you are unfortunately the Bartender here telling them, NO you cant have the 18 year scotch, because someone in a nother state said so, here is a Budwiser instead, but you have to take the drink now if you went to a bar, and that happened you'd be pissed, why because the bartender gives what you ask and what you need, I am in no way putting blame upon you, you are doing your job within the confines of your company rules also with a bartender it isnt an extreme wait for the drink, where as in a pharmacy,it can become a time suck, which again isnt your fault, but again you are the bartender in this situation hi i am here to pick XYZ we dont have that I can see it, can you just give it to me your insurance company said no and its now $1800 well if I dont get XYZ I die (legally, you cant hand that to them) you are approved for 123 I cant take 123, im allergic, I need XYZ I understand that, yada yada yada now its not always the case but tou see the issue a bartender cuts you off for safety reasons 90% of the time Insurance says no, and you have to push the issue again you need XYZ to live you get the brunt of corporate policy as the public facing human
