I’m 64, and I wish more women knew how much perimenopause can affect their relationships. 💔 Sometimes, you don’t even recognize yourself anymore. You’re exhausted. Everything feels overwhelming. Your patience is shorter than it used to be, little things suddenly feel HUGE, and the people you love can end up getting the worst of it. And then comes the guilt… because you love your partner, but you don’t always understand why you feel or react the way you do. Perimenopause can bring changes in mood, sleep, and intimacy that can put extra pressure on a relationship. But that doesn’t mean your marriage is doomed, and it doesn’t mean you’re a bad wife. 🤍 Here are 5 things I wish every woman knew: 1. Don’t ignore the changes. If you suddenly don’t feel like yourself, pay attention to what’s happening instead of blaming yourself for everything. 2. Talk to your partner. Explain what you’re experiencing, even if you’re still trying to understand it yourself. 3. Don’t let resentment build up. Take a pause when emotions run high, and come back to the conversation when you’re both calmer. 4. Take your symptoms seriously. Sleep problems, mood changes, and intimacy concerns deserve attention. Talk to a healthcare professional about what you’re experiencing. 5. Ask for support before you reach your breaking point. You don’t have to figure everything out alone. 🤍 Your hormones may be part of what you’re experiencing, but you still deserve support, understanding, and practical ways to navigate this chapter. I want more women to know they’re not alone in this. You can take care of yourself without giving up on the relationships that matter to you. 🫶 I created The Ageless Ritual, my FREE ebook, to share more about the habits and wellness routines I focus on in this season of life. 💌 Comment “ROUTINE” and I’ll send you your free copy. Make sure you’re following me first so my DM doesn’t get stuck in your hidden requests.
