Want to build your glutes? Don’t just load them. Load them LONG. 🍑 Putting a muscle under significant tension while it’s stretched can create a strong growth stimulus. GAINNNZZZ Think about your glutes: Your glute max is a powerful hip extensor. As your hip moves into deeper flexion, the glute max lengthens. So in a Bulgarian split squat, sinking into that deep hip-flexed position puts the front glute under stretch while it still has to produce a ton of force to get you back up. Now add this little tweak 👀 Rotate your torso slightly toward the working/front leg. That movement can increase the stretch you get through the glute and lets us load the glute through a slightly different position. Then comes the important part: You don’t just stretch it. You make it WORK there. You have to stand back up in that extra lengthened position. And this is why this variation makes a killer exercise absolutely diabolical. For the record, loading your glutes in the shortened position matters too (think hip thrusts). But the lengthened position is suppppper important too. ✨Comment QUIZ and I’ll help you find the best program fit for your mom bod, plus a free trial. #glutegains #pelvicfloor
