In simpler words? Guts is a child born from limbo, someone who was never supposed to exist, making him an embodiment of unpredictability. His son also came from limbo, representing that same unpredictability, while Casca became part of it, too. Griffith (Femto) was supposed to be reborn with a normal baby, but Guts’child ended up that same place instead. Now Griffith is starting to regain his emotions in the physical realm, becoming connected to the child. Think about Femto during the Black swordsman arc, when we first see him speak as Femto. He never spoke during the Eclipse, remaining completely emotionless, just as we would expect from a member of the Godhand. Guts’ very existence is opening up a new possibility for humanity’s fate, one that could allow it to escape the script. Because of his existence, possibilities like Femto losing, helping Guts, or even regaining his humanity become possible because of that fact. Everyone Guts encounters throughout his journey is, in some way, are outside the script. Schierke, Farnese, Serpico, Puck, and others represent that unpredictability, with Casca and his son being among the most powerful examples of all.
