@magnoliamegan_: 5 Transportation Tops when Going to the NC State Fair! 🎡🎟️🚙 Nearly ONE MILLION people visit the NC State Fair every year, so knowing where to park and when to go can save you a lot of time! 🚗 1. Official Parking is FREE! You can park for FREE in designated lots at the fairgrounds and Carter Finley Stadium! Just check the official parking map before heading out since availability can change depending on nearby events. 🚌 2. Take Advantage of FREE Satellite Parking! Want to avoid some of the traffic right around the fairgrounds? There are two satellite parking options with FREE transportation to the fair! 📍 Bandwidth Dogwood Lot
4501 Reedy Creek Road, Raleigh
Free shuttle to Gate 8 📍 Cardinal Lot
5766 Chapel Hill Road, Raleigh
Free tram to Gate 7 ⏰ 3. Avoid the Busiest Arrival Times! Weekends, especially Saturday afternoons and evenings, tend to be the busiest! If you have flexibility, try visiting during the week or arriving closer to opening time to avoid some of the crowds and traffic. 📅 4. Double Check Nearby Events! The fairgrounds are right next to Lenovo Center and Carter Finley Stadium, so other events can impact traffic and parking availability! October 21: A concert at Lenovo Center will affect parking availability. October 24: An NC State basketball game at Lenovo Center could bring additional traffic to the area. 🚆 5. Our FAVORITE Tip: Take the Train! Did you know you can take a train directly to the NC State Fair?! NC By Train offers special stops just steps from Gate 1! You can travel from cities like Charlotte, Greensboro, Durham, Cary and more without worrying about finding parking. Just select NSF (North Carolina State Fair) as your destination when booking and make sure to reserve your return trip in advance! 🎡 The 2026 NC State Fair runs October 15 through October 25 in Raleigh! 📌 SAVE this for your fair trip and SHARE it with whoever you’re going with! #NCStateFair #NCStateFair2026 #RaleighNC #VisitNC #northcarolina
