That's because Qurayshi Arabic was a melange of different languages spoken by all Arabs so that included the different tribal languages (dialects today) as well as Hebrew, Aramaic, Abyssinian and Persian.

Don't say imalah was there at one point. You know your video is educational then at least educate correctly by researching on the differnt qiraat of the quran. Imalah wasn't something that was changed but something that was and still is here today just not in the standard most famous qira'a named hafs an asim, where it only appears once in surat hud. Even if you claim you don't care who you offend at least try to be more objective with your words and saying shit that literally would have a double meaning

They still exist in El Dori and Quran other recitations, just not in Hafs (the most common recitation)

That's from Marijn's book is it? I've considered the theory, but for me, it's got a lot of fallacies.

The manuscript you showed proves the long vowels you hear phonetically are transcribed lexically though ا ى و sounds and letters. صلوات in the Quran can either be pronounced with or without the waw, depending on if it refers to salutations, prayer, something given to One vs something given to potentially multiple as waw in Semitic grammar means to extract, the word and, to add, etc

this is why islam has different recitations of quran. the most common is hafs an asim. but if you look into surah al-a'la, there are different recitation. word ending in La become Lé (as in lé miserables).

Well the tafkhim of the laaam on salah is in the recitation of Warsh and millions of people recite it like that and pronounce it today. And of course imalah is well known and found in hafs as well once. Majereha. And the famous imam ashatibi of recitations said generally imalah is applied when the the foundations of the alif in the word is a ya like your described. This agains proves the vastness of the quranic recitations. Btw imam Sibaweyh and kisae whom you both mentioned meet in Baghdad during the Abbasid era and debated in the presence of Abbasid Caliph Harun arashid.
