Maybe the Nobel Prize will convince the US administration to restore funding for an expanded Ice Cube. But this administration seems more focused on self interest and conspiracy theories. We may have to wait until after 2028.

Btw i did calculate it and at that energy the neutrino was travelling within a factor of 1/10^33 to the speed of light

Very nice video, but the Glashow resonance (the largest interaction cross section for neutrinos) occurs at 6.3PeV so the detection shouldn’t be a surprise. I guess the fact that something can make a neutrino of that energy is though.
