OLUWADAMILOLA SCORPIO ♏️ 🥰 :
Since last night, when I heard the heartbreaking news of the passing of Toluwani, I have cried and cried, and my heart still feels so heavy. 💔😭 I keep asking myself one question: What is truly the essence of life? Why were we born into this world, and what exactly are we here to achieve when, at the end of the day, we will all leave everything behind?
It is painful to realise how fragile life is. Someone can wake up in the morning with plans for the day, dreams for tomorrow, and hopes for the future, only for people to hear by 2 p.m. that the same person is no more. Just like that. Without warning. Without a chance to say goodbye. Without knowing that the morning they woke up to would be their last. 💔
And then what happens to all the plans? What happens to the dreams, the struggles, the money we chase, the houses we build, the grudges we hold, and the things we fight so hard to achieve? What happens to all the things we think are so important that we forget to love one another, forgive one another, and appreciate the people around us while we still have the chance?
Death has a way of reminding us that, no matter how strong, wealthy, beautiful, successful, or influential we are, we are all human, and none of us knows the day or the hour when our journey here will end. One minute, someone is here, laughing, talking, making plans, and living life. The next minute, they become a memory, a name people mention with tears in their eyes, and a picture people look at with a broken heart.
Honestly, I don't even know what to say. I am struggling to understand why life can be so beautiful and yet so painfully unpredictable. Why do we love people so deeply when we don't know how much time we have with them? Why do we spend so much time worrying about tomorrow when tomorrow is never promised to anyone?
Maybe the saddest truth about life is that we spend our whole lives preparing to live, forgetting that we could be called home at any moment. We postpone our happiness, delay our apologies, hold on to anger, and take the presence of our loved ones for granted, as if we have been promised forever.
The passing of Gospusinga Toluwani is another painful reminder
