Every time I step out the door I swear I’m spending AT LEAST $100. And just on the most basic necessities (gas, food, etc)

I make $11 an hour and I bust my ass at work. But, I still can’t afford a place to live, food, my car is on its last leg and I’m always broke.

Joined a live for the first time on here with men talking about where the employer should responsible for creating a higher wage or should the employees work harder for a higher pay. The excuse is that an entry level positions apparently don’t deserved a higher pay and it was “healthy competition” for employees to push to do more work. One of the men owned his own business, the other owned a branch of some commercial fast food place. Fast food guy that it was disgusting to think he should pay someone more that doesn’t have experience when he can have one guy do the job of three. I attempted to point out how this was part of the problem and yet they would not attempt to alter their view even just for the conversation.

Starting a business because my supposedly good income is no longer covering it. I make exactly the average salary in the US and I can’t get a home. It’s NOT RIGHT!

Having $200 left over after bills would’ve been great 10 years ago, could’ve gotten my basics. Now it barley covers toilet paper, laundry soap, diapers & dogfood
